Private Browsing
(Also known as Incognito)
Most internet browsers have a private browsing option. A private browser will delete all browsing information once you close the window. Try using a private browser as it is the best option for leaving no trace.
Browsing History
Internet browsers keep a record of all the web pages you visit which is known as a ‘history’. To delete this record locate ‘History’ in your browser menu, and click ‘Clear Browsing Data’. If you’re unsure of how to do this, google “clear browsing data [name of browser]”.
Search History
Search engines such as Google will keep a record of the words you type. To erase these words find the option “Clear Search History” in your toolbar.
Any emails you have previously sent will be stored in your ‘sent’ folder. Make sure you go to this folder and delete any emails you don’t want anyone else to see.
