Child Centered Services
We recognise the added challenges a mother experiences when raising children while dealing with family and domestic violence. We are here to provide the support needed to create a stronger safer tomorrow for you and your family.
The Children Services team work from a purposely designed early childhood space that is nurturing, stimulating and safe where the children can talk openly, be heard, improve their self-esteem and identify their feelings.
Child focused services include:
- Advocacy and referrals to child-focused services
- Safety planning and domestic violence education
- Child care support
- Art-based therapy, games and activities to recognise the signs, and then strengthen skills and strategies to stay safe.
Our Kids Against Violence Program is also run in selected primary schools in the Peel region. We believe it is important to educate the adults of tomorrow on gender equality, identifying feelings around violence and strategies in keeping safe.
